Saturday was a day to remember a fellow rider and friend. It
was a small group of 18 or so riders (compared to the 50
some odd that came the 1st year) who paid tribute by riding
to Heejun's favorite place to play. US Rt. 181. He was a
very skilled rider and knew this road better than anyone. On
one afternoon his bike went down.
Today Doug Morrow leads the group through Old 18 and to
the memorial site on 181 where a sturdy metal cross, tucked
back in the brush, with HeeJun's AMA racing number 13,
permanently resides.

General Blog
Hay all! Sorry for the MAJOR delay with
adding a new post. The weather has been extremely hot here
these past few weeks. We went from spring to summer in just
a few days, therefore hindering a lot of rides that carry
into the afternoon, BUT...we are
still doing things with the Dragoneez. Last month we
assisted them with their Highway cleanup in Shady Valley, TN.
Here's the Video...what a day!
So...what do you do when it's so hot and
humid the breeze feels like a hairdryer set on HOT? You
putter around the yard, watch some MotoGP racing sip some
lemonade or sweet tea and plan for the cooler riding days.
Next Month we have 2 memorial rides for dear friends that
will take us up to the hills of TN as well as another
highway cleanup slated for September, October brings us back
to the Dragon again for a little year end R&R. See you all
soon!

Annual Wake the Dragon with the Charlotte Dragoneez - Day 3
Good morning! The weather guessers say it'll
be in the 70's today. I'm sure the Dragon will be a tad more
busy than it was yesterday... for some reason, wind and
chilly temps keeps fair weather riders away...ok... more
play room for us! LOL no really, it was quiet up there
yesterday and today will most likely be a bit busier. I'll
have photos up later tonight. We have the houses here until
Monday morning, so packing the bikes tonight may be the
midnight chore... we'll see...
UPDATE: We lost a dear friend and an
extremely experienced rider today in the hills. BW will be
missed terribly and remembered by hundreds of riders, family
members and co-workers. He leaves behind a beautiful wife
and three children. Cantonfest will never be the same.

Annual Wake the Dragon with the Charlotte Dragoneez - Day 2
It's 8:15am and it's time to get up and meet
some guys that the group met Friday night. It's supposed to
be in the 60's and windy so we all dress to be warm. It was
a bit windy and it was chilly in the shade, so the Dragon
was VERY quiet. I saw maybe 5 other riders and no traffic on
the way down. We'll be back to visit the dragon again
tomorrow....

Annual Wake the Dragon with the Charlotte Dragoneez
Starting on the 31st, we packed up all the
toys and pointed the trucks nose towards Robbinsville, NC for
some R&R....Superbike style! We traveled all night (we left
at 11:15pm and arrived at 4:30am) and found that we were
locked out of the house as the 1st arrivals forgot we were
coming. So.... we slept in the garage...oh, but what a
garage it is!!! Here are 3 photos from the trip so far.
Today was a really relaxing day for the girls while the guys
scoped out the roads. Tomorrow it's up bright and early and
off to Wake the Dragon... Tail of the Dragon that is. We'll
be meeting up with some old friends and filming some video.
Stay tuned as I'll probably have something up late late
tomorrow (April 2nd) night.

Daniele - Out and about
So after a few days of rain and then 3 days of fine riding
weather, what does one do??? Set up a mount for the Go-Pro
and take a video! I set up this one mount and thought to
take it for a test...I have another that I want to set up on
the swingarm, but I'm concerned all you'll see is my foot.
LOL
Anyway, enjoy these 2 video's...
My trip into work... I didn't take
the super twisty way, I was running late.
The Wednesday dinner rides have begun. Only 4 this week, but
there will be more as the weather warms up.

Marchfest with the Charlotte Dragoneez
"So when does the riding season begin down
there?" We get asked this all the time... Well... depending
on what kind of rider you are will very much depend on when
YOUR riding season will start and stop. For us, we usually
call it quits around late November with a few Christmas and
New Year rides thrown in, but for the most part the weather
is pretty "yucky" Jan and Feb. The spring riding season
begins with Marchfest. Always the 1st weekend of March.
Rain, snow or sunshine. The latter greatly preferred. This
year it's affectionately named Fogfest. Those who came out
had a great time, and special thanks to Jessie Nelson of
Both-Feet-In.com for taking
the photos this time round!

International Motorcycle Show - Greenville, SC
What a hoot! Daniele surprised Shawn
w/ some last minute tickets, and away we went! The
show was great, and we saw a lot of super cool ideas,
things, and even ran into some old friends! Great way
to spend a Sunday :)

Boomers Loop
What a fantastic February day to get together
with some great people, and go explore some unknown roads,
as well as hitting some old favorites. As we were
heading out on our journey, our friend Court and his better
half met us at our driveway... the more the merrier! We
headed up to Lincolnton, where we found Forrest waiting at
the meet and greet location. 200
miles later, yep, the silly grins are still there :)
Here are few quick shots from the day... Video soon to
come... Animoto is being a little slow.
